Our Commitment to a Clean Energy Future!

Posted on October 05, 2018

On September 6th, the Clean Energy Transition Institute launched. Stolte Family Foundation was an early partner and believes in this nonpartisan effort with the commitment to accelerate the transition to a clean energy economy by identifying deep decarbonization strategies; advancing urban clean energy solutions; and building a clean energy workforce.

The role of the Clean Energy Transition Institute is to provide:

  • Thought leadership on and roadmaps for the pathways to a clean energy, low-carbon economy;
  • An information clearinghouse for research on decarbonization solutions and technologies;
  • Convenings to facilitate the development of solutions among stakeholders to bring about the shift to a low-carbon economy;
  • Strategies to reduce carbon emissions in local jurisdictions and build a clean energy workforce.

Northwest Deep Decarbonization Pathways Study

The Institute commissioned Evolved Energy Research to develop a Northwest Deep Decarbonization Pathways study to provide guidance for Washington and Oregon policymakers on how the Northwest can cost-effectively decarbonize buildings, transportation, and the electricity grid between now and 2050. The pathways study will be released this November.
